Welcome to Zhang Oriental Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the oldest professional, continuously practiced medicine in the world. It can be traced back more than 3000 years. It is now the second largest medical system in the world and it is currently used by one third of the world's population. The common diseases of 3000 years ago are quite different from those that are common now, but this is the beauty of the TCM system. It is a holistic medicine that considers the "whole" person - body, mind, diet, environment, emotions, lifestyle, and exercise.

Through the use of herbal concoctions, acupuncture, moxibustion, ear point pressure therapy, skin scraping, massage and Qigong, most every ailment and condition can be treated. Chinese medicine also focuses on disease prevention and overall health maintenance.

Acupuncture is one of the most popular forms of TCM. It involves the use of strategically placed needles which are inserted into the skin along the points of the meridian system. This practice has proved to be effective for treating a wide range of health issues. Chinese herbal concoctions are given in the form of teas, pills, and tonics. They typically involve a specific mix of several herbs. There are thousands of different combinations. An herbalist will observe the patient and analyze his condition in order to prescribe a specific mixture that will benefit him exclusively.

Acupuncture/Chinese herbs combine with Massage, cupping, skin scraping and ear point pressure therapy can help with many ailments and prevent certain conditions altogether including: Chronic pain, Depression, Migraine headaches, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Frozen shoulder, Allergies, Infertility, Insomnia, Anxiety, Fatigue, Headaches, Colds, Addictions, Digestive problems, Menstrual disorders, Menopausal symptoms, Fatigue, Immune system disorders, Muscle tension. The World Health Organization (WHO) lists nearly 50 different illnesses that can be treated effectively by acupuncture. Zhenguo Zhang, a State Licensed Acupuncture Practitioner, has been extremely interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine ever since he was a boy. He
started to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine in 1981 and graduated from the Shandong Medical University in 1986 in China. He has more than 25 years of clinical experience and has also conducted numerous medical research projects about the biological characters of the human malignant tumor.

His practice is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and he conducts diagnoses and therapeutic designs based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Each individual has his or her own condition that contributes to the presenting symptoms or diseases. In Traditional Chinese Medicine,  it is important to consider the individual overall condition in addition to the local problem when it comes to therapeutic design. It is this combined local and overall body-based approach that delivers the most effective treatment.

You cannot imagine its dramatic effects by a so simple and economic way unless you try the Traditional Chinese Medicine personally. Please do not hesitate to call Zhang to make an appointment:
